Princess Laura is a character and the main protagonist in Once Upon a Time fanfiction, Daughter of Gold and Hearts. She is the FairyTale counterpart of Laura Mills. She is portrayed by starring cast member Miranda Cosgrove.
Laura is based on Hope from the children's book "Rumplestiltskin's Daughter" and Eilonwy from Disney's "The Black Cauldron".
History[]
Laura is the daughter of Rumplestiltskin, a powerful Dark Wizard and Cora, the daughter of a poor miller. While visited by Rumplestiltskin, he takes the form of Prince Henry and lays in bed with Cora. This results in a second baby girl an d Cora, thinking it to be Henry's daughter, hopes for her second daughter to find a suitable husband for her after Regina is queen ("Daughter of Gold and Hearts").
As Laura is Rumplestiltskin's second-born child, she is very endangered for Hades sent many men to kidnap her from her mother, stepfather and sister, but are foiled everytime. Later, Laura grows up to be an adventurous young girl grown close with her sister, Regina. She also knows all of Regina's secrets, seeing taht she knows Daniel and her sister have a love for each other. However, Cora was a strict mother, even to Laura. and says that Regina is setting a bad example for her younger sister ("The Stable Boy", "Out of the Past").
